WATCH: Sabres’ Nikita Zadorov score first NHL goal

6’5″, only 18 years of age, Nikita Zadorov of the Buffalo Sabres looked like a giant scoring machine on his first ever NHL goal against the defending Eastern Conference champion, Boston Bruins.

The Sabres may not be winning now (1-9-1) but the future is bright if the young guns can materialize into solid NHLers at the same time over the next few seasons.

In a game that by all accounts should have ended 8-0 Bruins, the Sabres youngster made the most of some open ice in the Bruins’ zone, powering a backhand through goaltender Chad Johnson for his first career NHL goal.

Watch Zadorov’s first of what could be many NHL goals.

Nikita Zadorov was drafted 16th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2013.
