Norris Trophy Winners

At the end of every season the National Hockey League awards the Norris Trophy to the best defenceman. Sometimes the award is given to the league’s highest scoring blue liner and other times a more well-round rearguard wins it. Either way, the Norris Trophy winner is always one of the NHL’s most dynamic defenders.

From the 1984-85 season to 2011, all the Norris Trophy winners had also won at least one Stanley Cup championship at some point in their career, proving that elite defencemen are essential components of a great hockey team.
